Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree…Shit this was Tough!

As a child, picking out a Christmas tree was something I had to remind my mom that we needed at least a couple of weeks before Christmas. Usually we wouldn’t put it up until a couple of days before Christmas Eve, and then keep it up until mid-February.

Well I’m kinda of an adult now, and I can choose to not procrastinate! So I looked into possibly cutting down our own tree, and sure enough there is a program that supports the national forests and have specific areas to cut down your tree! Excited and ambitious, we set out to get our fir, or perhaps a spruce. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be.

Not only was there like 4 feet of snow, but I was smart enough to not bring snowshoes or even gaiters for my legs. No worries, nothing was going to get in the way, because we spent about an hour looking and found the perfect tree! I filmed Charlie through the entire process of cutting it, He wasn’t too impressed with my filmography skills. But I got this good photo of him at least.
